When I discovered I was pregnant with my son, my life took a dramatic turn. It was then that I discovered the rich birth community in Los Angeles and pursued both midwifery support and doula training at The Sanctuary Birth & Family Wellness Center in Culver City, CA. I trained as a postpartum doula and placenta encapsulator with Heather Schwarz and Shelia Feldman and began my career as a postpartum doula as I too ventured into motherhood. What a ride!

Shortly after that, I began working as a lactation specialist intern for The Womb, run by IBCLC Nicole Peluso. Working as a lactation specialist opened my eyes to the wide array of experiences many women encounter throughout the breastfeeding relationship and it was there I found my calling. My fascination with this work only grows with time. What we each go through as we nurture our children is remarkable, formidable, and miraculous too. In Ayurveda, breastfeeding is seen as a gift which flows from the heart and I have witnessed it this way countless times, aided many mothers through the challenges they faced with such love and dedication. It is truly an honor to behold.

I have served 300+ families throughout Southern California and the US via in-home, in hospital, and Telehealth. I have supported families with complex medical conditions and premature infants. I have taken special training for working with preemie and NICU babies and am certified by the American Heart Association for Life Support and CPR. I am also a Level 1 Reiki healer and am also training under Dr. Aviva Romm, MD to become a Certified Women's Herbalist.
